A letter sent to Gov. Taft
Hello Gov. Taft and staff,
Just so you know, I am working on designing a resolution that denounces your hatred of gay marriage, locally in California and our city legislatures.
Please be aware that you will be an unwanted presence in our area now that you have passed a law that is so discriminatory against American citizens that to have you in our state/city is a greater an offense than that of the Ku Klux Klan itself, which we are quiet aware has a strong chapter in your state.
Please also be aware that if you dare to show your face in San Francisco from now on, you will be dogged, ridiculed, and generally made to feel so uncomfortable that you will wish you would've never set foot off the plane. You are not only an embarrassment to your state but to the nation at large. And the gay community across the world will learn to revile your name whenever we hear it...to that I can promise you. You are a bigot, the likes of any Southern segregationist of old can be proud.
San Francisco and California lead the world in technology, social, education, and economic progress. In fact, many of our citizens are refugees from your own state. Realize that we hold great power in this country and we are poised to lash out at those who are beholden to the most reactionary, bigoted, and downright ignorant forces in America. You have shown yourself to be a "man" of no integrity on this issue and you will NEVER be welcomed in our state or city.
History will forget you, and if not, it will denounce you. Shame on you. If there is a God, may He/Her cast judgment and have mercy on those who stand in your shadow. So help me, as long as I live, may the greater power give me the strength to give witness to your terrible act of inhumanity. I will never forget this!
Gov. Taft, you dig the graves of Auschwitz, the GRAVES OF QUEERS are your sin!
